Caring For Your Panama

If your Panama becomes misshapen you should be able to recover the original shape of the hat by lightly steaming it over a boiling kettle and ironing the brim under a damp cloth. The Panama should then be placed over an appropriately shaped object such as a bowl and leave to regain its shape.

Should your Panama become dirty one should first try to remove dirt by lightly dusting with a dry cloth. Should the mark prove stubborn and difficult to remove in this way try using a moist facial or baby wipe. This should remove most marks although care should be taken not to rub too hard. Never use soap and water.

Famous Pachacuti Panamas

Over the years our Panama Hats have traveled far and wide and we have sold hats to a range of celebrities and performers. Pachacuti Panamas make an appearance on the heads of Peruvian dignitaries during the Quidditch World Cup scene in the film of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire released in November 2005.

The lead singer with Juan De Marcos' Afro Cuban All Stars can be seen below sporting a newly purchased Pachacuti Fedora in performance as the headline act at the 2001 Womad Festival in Reading, England.
