Classic Fedora - Fine Llano Weave - Rollable
The Pachacuti Classic Fedora in a fine llano weave is a premier rollable hat and is one of our most popular selling Panama hats for over 20 years. This perennial favourite is the classic summer hat for men and women, with a dash of style and traditional elegance.

The fine llano weave is a tightly woven herringbone weave and is more durable than our brisa weave, and it is a fantastic, quality genuine Panama hat that is typically sold for hundreds of pounds more. Renowned for its lightweight and flexible fibres, this hat is handwoven by our skilled fair trade producers from Carludovica Palmata, grown near the coast of Ecuador. Those looking for a foldable hat, for easy packing will find that this hat will not only look stylish, but will also serve them well.

The popular fedora shape with its pinched sides and a lengthwise crease down the crown suits most who wear it. Fedora brims are on average 7cm in width and are generally shaped by the wearer to be slightly downward in the front and with slight curl upwards in the back.

These classic sun hats are trimmed with petersham ribbon and are available with a choice of black, navy, champagne or khaki hat bands. Additional colour choices are available, we may also have larger or smaller hats than the sizes listed here. Do get in touch if you are looking for a size not listed. Phone our shop for more details- +44 (0)1538 388 580 or email:

For hat band colours other than black, please allow an additional 2-3 days for delivery due to each hat band being customly sewn by our milliner. Hats with coloured bands cannot be guranteed for next day delivery.

Calculating Your Hat Size.

To take a measurement position a cloth tape measure so that it rests just above the brow at the front of the head and resting approximately 1 cm about the top of the ears at the side. Pull the tape so that is taut but not too tight and take a measurement. Hats are sized to the nearest whole centimeter so it is advisable to size up if your head falls between two measurements.

Fair Trade

Pachacuti works directly with our artisans in every step of the process, weaving, dyeing, blocking, finishing, to ensure that as much of the final value as possible remains in their hands.

Pachacuti pays a fair price which is monitored through weaver interviews to ascertain the local cost of living and by measuring the price we pay against the government’s cañasta básica vital, the monthly market price of meeting basic needs for a family of 4.We provide ongoing training and investment, not just in design development and skills, but in self-esteem, human relations, costing of products and overheads, and health and safety.

We have piloted projects which demonstrate our commitment to working fairly with our weavers, including becoming the first company in the world to be Fair Trade Certified under the Sustainable Fair Trade Management System in 2009 and piloting the Fair Trade Guarantee System in 2011, become the first fashion brand in the world to receive the new label. Our work on the 3 year EU Geo Fair Trade project involved the collection and tracking of 68 social, economic and environmental indicators.
